I am shooting 1 inch groups with both bullets. Opinions on bullet of choice for a cow elk? Out of time to develop a heavier load for the Barnes.

This was a challenge. Snuck up on this guy after spotting him 3.5 hours earlier, SE Colorado, Public Land, Muzzleloader with Iron Sites. One shot with a 50 cal 250gr Thor Bullet.

I drew this buck tag for Oct 21-29. I plan to hunt public land. Looks like I can hunt in Units 128, 129, 133, 134, 135, 140, 141, 142, and 147. I will be looking into the Pinon Canyon, State Trust, and National grasslands. Any advice? Don't need a wall-hanger.
