Does anyone have any experience with what the elk are usually doing around Carey, ID in December? Just looking for any general info, do they stick around or move out when the snow flies?

My son and I had a good year chasing goats in Idaho. He was able to get his first big game animal and I scored my second goat. Great start to the year for us.

First year hunting in Idaho, I have a question about bachelor group Bulls. I found a group of 4 big Bulls sparing together yesterday. How long do they usually stick together? They all hit the same wallow as well. Will they continue to use that wallow once they split up for the rut? Thanks

Has anyone see much for elk in the Monte Cristo area. If so what time of year do they come through. I was up there last year during archery season and saw alot of old sign at least I thought it was elk sign, could have been moose. Not looking for any details just if they are around in october...

This is my first year hunting in Utah and I was wondering how long does the rut usually go for. I got into some bulls today on one of the extended hunt areas. Just want to know how much time I have to be able to call them in. Came close today but nicked a branch.
