Thanks for the responses. I always process my own, like to know where it's coming from. Because I do my own, it's usually packaged steak or stew meat. I wanted to try adding ground meat, sausage and have a good amount "sliced" ready for the dehydrator. Thanks again!

Hello Everyone, While archery hunting elk during a drought, would elk tend to stay up high toward timber line? Most wallows or water holes might be dried up, but wouldn't it be cooler temps? Or would they tend to go low in search of agricultural fields and rivers?

If taking a camping trailer or tent, there is a place near El Vado State Park, called Cooper's El Vado Ranch. It has primitive camping right next to the Rio Chama for some fishing. You are also close enough for a train ride in Chama.

+1 on the Outdoor Edge Razor-Blaze (RB-20) Totally agree w/Smitty. Go into the store and hold both the havalon and outdoor edge in your hands. I felt more comfortable being able to change the outdoor edge blade w/one hand.

thanks for the replies guys. the type of ATV i was considering was a 500/2-seater (93" long) to plow snow and a second seat for the misses. not losing bed space with one of these racks is attractive as you can keep firewood/propane/water/gear etc in the bed.
