Was wondering what you would choose, the Winchester and Weatherby are both $388 at wal-mart. The caliber will be 30.06. This will be my hunt everything gun. Any advice is appreciated.

I have seen surplus ammo for my 30.06 on couple web sites and was wondering if it is o.k. for practice. I don't want anything that will hurt my gun. I found "pmc korean mc ball fmj projectile" whatever that means, 400rds for 96 dollars. Any one used surplus ammo? thanks

Checked out the weatherby vanguard and it seems like a good gun for a great price. Thinking about the 300 win mag or 7mm rem mag, both are listed at 476$ Just wanted to know if anyone has had a good/bad experience with this gun. Thanks
