    Do you log your hunts?

Like probably many of you, I have found the past reads of hunting trips to be invaluable. This is just to encourage those that maybe do not do it to consider it. Reading back over hunts that happened long ago brings back details a person will never retain, but best of all, it puts you right...

    Utah N.R. App Tip/Reminder

With the application process opening I believe on Monday, just wanted to remind everyone that since the inception of the required $65 hunting license purchase to apply for tags, that your license is good for 365 days/one year. So in other words, if you applied for a tag last year on 2/20/09...

Bird dogs, desert quail, and snakes

Each year I leave the frozen north with my drahthaar for a week or two on the beach - the sands of SW New Mexico or SE Arizona to hunt desert quail. Only differences I can see at this point is the use of a polycarbonate tip to help with better expansion on...

Dad and I are looking to possibly use our 8 points (rifle) this year or next and have considered these units. Just starting to research and would appreciate any information you guys might be willing to share. Looks to be mostly public land with average goats. Any other recommendations you might...

    Match grade or standard primers?

Years ago I read a Bob Milek article that stated he often found best results in accuracy working up loads with match grade primers, all other things being equal. I had a lot of respect for the late Mr. Milek and have found this to be true with most every rifle. What have been your results?
