I usualy call for 20 minutes then move on but this year I have been calling longer. Last time out I had 4 coyotes come chargeing in at the 35 min mark. I killed 2 of them should of had 3. Then the time before that I had one come in at the 30 min mark so maybe try staying in one spot longer...

ColoradoBob I was lucky enough to draw a goat tag a few years ago I had 8points for them as well. Man I would love to kill Colorado's big 10. I lack whitetail, Mt Lion, Dessert big horn, and Moose. I have taken alot of whitetail just none in Colorado.

Thanks guys for the comments, We scouted alot this summer saw alot of rams just nothing real big, I was able to find out where some of the other hunters were going to hunt so we decided to backpack into a spot that has produced good rams in the past but we had not scouted it before. Turns out...

I finaly got it done last night. What an exciting adventure it has been. My ram has 16 1/4 bases and we scored him at 166. I am happy with him it is a hunt that I will never forget.

I drew a S21 tag, I'm not the best at judgeing rams either but when you see a big ram you will know it. I talked to the biologist for my area, he said a ram wouldn't get a full curl until they are 7yrs old. He said alot of the oldest rams in my area are 3/4 curl because they are broomed off...

Just 16 days now until my Colorado sheep hunt starts. Man its all I can think about right now. I have several sheep located just hope that biggest ram stays put. Who else has a ram tag and are you as excited as I am?

How has your scouting gone so far? For me I have made 3 trips have seen 31 rams so far but only 1 has got me excited hope he stays in the same basin until season starts. I plan on checking a few more areas out as well. good luck.

I heard one howling last year, coyotes were howling all around then we heard something way different so I went home and listned to wolves on youtube. I'm positive we heard one and heard some stories of people seeing some wolves close to were I heard this one. It was not far from Paonia

tomarrow will be my first scouting trip for S21. We are heading out 5 in the morning and riding into the high country on horse back spending the night doing a bunch of glassing hope to find some rams.
