    Tacos De Alambres El Pato

Thank you so much for this recipe! This is by far the best way to eat duck that I have found yet. I loved it and the left overs weren't too bad either.

    Big Sandy Deer

Pinedale would be your best option if you are unable to camp out there. 130 is a good tag and will produce some great deer if you are patient. As for lodging options in Pinedale I would suggest either cozy cabins that has already been mentioned, the hampton, the baymont, or high country suites...

SKRE Uinta Pants - Win Them!

I want those hunting pants! I took a look through their website and seems to be good quality gear for not that bad of a price. I like the camo pattern. I also entered into their give away.

    Wyoming Opener

Heck ya! I'm heading up this afternoon for the first five days with hopes of connecting on my first velvet buck before I go chase elk next week. If I don't then I will just wait until October for the migration and pray for early snow.

    Thoughts?

I know this isn't the biggest buck but I think he will be my target for the first week of the bow season. I have seen him for 6 days now in the same spot. I have never killed a muley with my bow and I would really like to get one in full velvet. This one is in a place where I think I have a...

    Flaming Gorge in Sept

I completely agree that jiggin for them is way more fun and can be way more productive that time of the year. Also if you have never caught a kok in spawning colors it is really a sight to be seen they are gorgeous that time of year.

    ATTENTION: Region H hunters

I think that the 141 tag holders may have to deal with some smoke but I seriously doubt that the fire will make it that far. I was finally lucky enough to draw the 141 deer and 93 elk in the same year so it should be an epic year. They just extended the area closure to include everything as far...

    ATTENTION: Region H hunters

I just thought that a lot of you non resident region H hunters would like to know that there is a large fire currently burning in Bondurant. Here is the link to the page: http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/4865/ It started near the highway at the mouth of Cliff creek and has now burnt all the way...

Yep it is. Boat or off shore? On a boat that is prime time for jigging for monster lakers. You could probably still be able to find some koks trolling as well.

    Antelope unit 90-2

Ok I feel like I should chime in. I actually live in Pinedale and have spent my whole life in this area. First things first, Yes the 90-2 is only valid for the portion of the unit west of 191 and the type 1 is for the east. The dates are the same for both. Best meat cutter is Neal Nelson as...

    My 2014 season

Well my season didn't last long this year maybe 15 hours combined for my goat and elk. I shot them both with my bow on their corresponding opening day. Nothing too special although the goat would easily go pope and young. I wasn't too picky this year I just needed the meat. It was a spot and...

    Re: 097-1 elk

I picked up one of these tags this year as well. So far the elk are sparse and I'm not getting a whole lot coming by my cameras but some nice bulls roaming around. I have seen a lot of nice deer up there this year though. It is an odd year though it is really wet so they aren't holding near...

    Pinedale Meat Processor

I have always taken all of my stuff to buffalo meats in Jackson but this year a friend of mine is going to be opening a processing shop just north of town near Cora. His name is Neal Nelson and he went to school to be a butcher and currently is a butcher at Ridley's in Pinedale. They are...

    Area 100 moisture

I was watching one particular bull throughout the year and i could usually find him in the same general area. While i was hunting however they were moving around a lot. During bow season they would move anywhere from 5-10 miles in a general circle. but during rifle season they would just pack up...

    Area 100 moisture

It has been a crazy year the snow came late but there was lots of it. Been a wet spring as well in fact it is snowing right now here in Pinedale. I would say that this is a wetter year than usual for sure. That clay down there turns to slop in a hurry when it gets wet which makes it almost...

    90-1 Antelope

I actually live in this unit and see bucks every day. If you are only looking for a 13-15 inch buck you could be done in a matter of minutes if you wanted. The highway that was previously referenced is Wyo 353 (I work for the transportation dept in Pinedale) 351 runs through area 90 type 2. I...

    Wildlife bridge

I was actually one of the engineers on that project. There are two over passes and 6 underpasses with 11 miles of high fence. Seems to work great. The game and fish estimated that 22000 goats used it this year.

    Value of shed antlers

I do practically everything you mentioned that people do with sheds other than sell them. To me the memories I get as I'm digging around in my horn pile are worth more than the buyer would pay so I keep most of them. I will sell or trade off the smaller ones to make more room for others but that...

    Another day in the office

So we are a little distracted in the office today we brought in our best shiras sheds to compare. There are five sheds including two sets all are fresh but one set wasn't found till late in the year. Every one of them was found in wyoming and would book if shot. one set is 48 and the other is 53...

    weatherby rifles.

I have five weatherby mark v's they are all tack drivers and shoot great. Now the vanguards are being made by howa not weatherby so the quality has gone down some in the past few years. With that said they are still good guns but in my eyes the mark v is worth the extra money. With the 300 you...

    Meindel Boots

So I finally wore out a pair of them two years ago. They are still waterproof but have lost some stitching and have punctures through the sides. still water tight though its amazing. Taxidermist in or around Pinedale

High country taxidermy is located in pinedale and they did one of my goats that I am pretty pleased with their number is (307) 367-2390. Also if you are wanting a euro mount Sawtooth taxidermy just south of Pinedale 10 miles or so has beetles and they did my buffalo skull this year and it turned...

    Wyoming Moose - Unit 5

Lots of moose in that area. I found a set of sheds up there snow machining a few years back. There are way more wolves and grizzlies up there though. Now that we can legally shoot the wolves it's helping but if they are in the area the animals will be pretty skidish. With that being said the...

No note horns kinda disappointed about it. Four truck loads of horns got confiscated at midnight. Pisses me off. But I did well considering it snowed like crazy. I ended up with 11 elk 15 deer and one moose.

    Wyoming elk area 100

Here is a pic of the bull I took in 100 three years ago. If he wasn't broke he would have been 320 but as he sits he is 305.

    Wyoming elk area 100

I would if I was you. There are some areas out there that are " wilderness research areas" that you can't have a motor vehicle in but there are roads in them that aren't marked with closed signs. That will land you a good fine. These aren't bad places to look either.

When you already have a 1200-1300 dollar bow before accessories you might as well buck up and buy a tight spot they are simply the best there is.
