    Unit 44 deer 4th season. I used to live in the area and there are some brutes that come down from the high country when weather gets cold. You'll only be hunting somewhere between 6,000 and 8,000 feet.

    I'm 16 years old but have been elk hunting only 2 seasons and have not been able to fill either tags. These were both in a unit in the western slope. I joined this forum to hopefully learn from people with more experience than me and to share my successes and failures.

    191 First Season

    Hey, I drew a unit 191 bull tag for first season this year. It's the first time hunting the for elk in the area. I've hunted for deer in the unit and have had great success. Only seen elk late in the year. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
