Thanks everybody for your input! I completely understand there is so much more to it than the rifle, I am in no hurry and am taking my time doing my research before making decisions. And I am totally prepared for a lot trigger time because I understand that is a HUGE part of it.

I honestly didn’t think so either but every hollow based shed i have found has had velvet on it unless it was so old the velvet rotted off, and all of them have been wacky and trashy like a cactus buck. It only makes sense but I’m not completely sure

I’ve shot at a buck on the last day of the muzzy hunt last year that was in full velvet, I was pretty surprised. And there’s a reason I said shot at instead of killed.... I really need to go to the range....
