Greetings - I posted previously regarding "Kaibab Archery" back in mid-July - I responded to a lot of requests for info; hopefully I didn't miss anyone, if I did, sorry. I was on the North Kaibab for 5 days during Labor Day week - had a great time, saw a few bucks just driving around and was astounded by the wet conditions that resulted from the summer monsoons - wettest I've seen it in the last 40+ years. Talked to a few hunters and the hunt seemed to be tough 'cuz of the wet conditions.
BTW - If anyone would like some help (extra eyes & hands) during the late hunt this year, I'm available - my hunts are wrapped up here in UT. I have some experience with the Kaibab (see my previous "Kaibab Archery" posts). As I've previously said, I'm not a guide or outfitter, just someone who has some hunting experience on the North Kaibab who would like to share what I've learned over the years (and I'd rather be camping on the Kaibab than sitting home). I'm retired, self-contained and willing to help point you in the right direction in terms of trying to find a good buck.
If you're interested, please snd send me a PM. Thanks & good luck to all of you who were lucky enough a Kaibab tag.
