6A north archery elk

Anyone offer any advice on this unit for elk in Sept.?

Check out the pine grove quiet area. It's a nice spot with lots of area for the elk to retreat. Hunt all day- every day (or as many as you can). Just remember no motorized vehicles there so you will be on foot getting your Monster AZ elk out of there~

Cow or Bull? You wont have much trouble finding elk in that unit. Just depends on what you want. I have the same tag.(Cow)

If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

I am across the road from you with a cow tag in 5BN. I always thought if I was drawn a 6A north tag I would like to find a boat and hall my gear/camp across Upper Lake Mary. Could get in deep and away from most the crowd I would think. I have seen and heard many bulls from the high points of 5BN rim over across the Lake in 6A when not a peep out of one bull in 5BN.

Some areas of the Pine Grove QA have been thinned too much to retain any stalking cover. While closed to motor vehicles in the fall, you could ride a mountain bike in there.

Seem to be elk all over the unit. Many atv riders are near Munds Park.

Thanks guys. I have a bull tag. I like walking and staying FAR away from ATVs.
