I had an elk tag in there about 5-6yrs ago. Elk were very slim in there after archery and muzzy went through it, but we did see a ton of deer. Two really nice bucks, that I still think about to this day.
It is kind of a pain in the butt checkin' in and out at the main station everyday, but other than that it could be a fun hunt....very challenging with archery equipment.
My best luck seeing animals was getting out and hunting the fingers running down the big draws in there. It is entirely open sage brush area so it's easy to get caught up in driving around and glassing from your rig. Ya, you'll probably see deer doing that, but that late in the season the wind and rain, and snow can get nasty and those big bucks like to hide in those drainages. Some of that sage is very tall and a buck can just lay where he wants and you'll never see em'.
It is a very large area you will be hunting, but the F&G should have or will send you a pretty good map of the entire unit....that is nice to have.
Hunt hard and I think you will at least get an oppurtunity at something decent in there.
