Any Deer Down Yet?

>Did anyone have any success this
>weekend with the bow, tanktop and shorts?

Hunting deer in 100 degree temps is just plain wrong, to me.

Rattlesnakes, ticks, scorpions and horseflies, are not my idea of a great nature experience. I commend you stick flickers for your perserverence......but it ain't for me.

Nickman- Where we are down near Santa Barbara, the bow season is actually cooler than the rifle season. It was only about 75 aournd here this weekend but come August/Sept it will be about 10 degrees hotter on average.

The rattlesnakes are what scare me. You never know where they'll be!

Left the house the other evening when it cooled down to 94 degrees.
I had a shooter bust me with no opportunity to shoot.
It is so gaddamn tough to sneak quietly on the dry grass & oak leaves that sound like crunching potato chips.
My kid has had two bucks in range & passed on them both.
It is a looooong season, anything can happen between now & September.
just be patient.
