Well, I think it's about time... I think it's time to pick up a bow once again. I sold my last bow (Hoyt Alpha Burner) about 12 years ago & the plan was to get a new bow soon after. Well, life was hectic with work, school, family, moving/relocating and it didn't happen. Then I told myself that I'll just wait until after I draw my LE rifle deer tag. Well, that has never come to fruition.
So here I am with a 15 year old boy that is expressing interest in bow hunting and the probability of me doing dedicated hunter in Utah in 2024. I actually bought a bow about 3 years ago (Mathews) and ended up turning around and selling it because I knew I didn't have the time to dedicate to it at that time. But the stars are beginning to align and I think it's time to jump back to the darkside. I know how much time and dedication is needed (and it's a little overwhelming to me) so I guess I come here for moral support. lol
Having been away for so long, I'm sure I have a lot of catching up to do. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I started bow hunting when I was about 14 & I've owned Bear, PSE, Mathews & Hoyt. I really loved my Mathews bows and may lean towards a Mathews again although I will look at Hoyt & maybe others. Anyway, I'm looking forward to spending more time in the archery forum here and really looking forward to flinging sticks once again with my son by my side.
