Big Ohio bucks

Went out tonight with the video camera. Two new bucks happened to be in the field. I initially thought the shorter tined buck was a 5 browtined buck (photos posted in general hunting section)I filmed the other night. Once I got home and looked at the film, I realized he was a different buck. It was difficult to count points on both of them because they were still a little far out for clear video, but I'm estimating 15 or 16 on each deer. It looks like the taller one (10x6?)possibly has a double main beam and a very tall split browtine on the left.

My two sons got very excited when I showed them the film. They were both "calling" which buck was theirs. Too bad that don't have the patience yet to hold off shooting the first legal buck that comes by them. Hopefully they don't disappear a week before season like they did last year.

This is also posted in the general hunting section.

Wow!! Either would be hanging on the wall if harvested. Sweets bucks DB. I think the double main beam would be slightly preferred though. Pretty soon that velvet should be coming off... You better have Scentlok with those boys. If you don't, I'd get some. Do you always have your boys with you? I've had good luck rattling and grunting. Want to try a decoy some time. Is this on your new land?
Take care. Dave
