Broncos still suck!

One new man on the roster isn't a savior.
They are at least playing football the way it's supposed to be played unlike last year. Even with last nights loss against the Pats, Peyton's passing game was definitely up a notch from previous weeks, and will just keep going up.

I love Peyton but have always been a bronco hater so it's difficult to see Peyton in those gawd awful uniforms. No doubt he's still on top of his game but the broncos aren't much different than last year. Passing numbers are great but wins and losses are what counts. Look at Brees and the Saints. A superbowl for the broncos is still a long ways off.

Traditional >>>------->

Yup, We are still suffering from three years of McMistakes drafts. Only one number one pick out of five is a player and almost none of the later draft picks. You can't build a team that way.

I follow football pretty heavy. Peytons numbers in the first 5 games this year are the best he has ever had in the first 5 games in his career. Nothing wrong with The Sheriff.
The Broncos Defense and Special Teams are pathetic though. Not to mention the DT fumbles that were headed for 6 points. McGahee has been hit and miss.

wow, did you see last nights game. If they didnt dig themselves so deep every single 1st half, they would probably be undefeated. And I hate the Broncos.

In reference to post #3....... How bout them Saints? Go BRONCOS!!!!!!!

Broncos had one of the toughest first half schedules in the league and came out 4 and 3. The last half is very favorable for them...looks like we could possibly go 12 and
4 :)

First off, I really don't like the Broncos. Colts fan here... Second off, if the Broncos defense can pull their heads our of their a$$e$, the Broncos have a strong chance to win it all, and i really think that. The best team rarely wins, a team needs to get hot and gain some confidence and they're unbeatable.(See the Giants last year)

They are in a cupcake division an amazingly weak schedule remaining. Only test left will be Baltimore. I'm still hoping for them to tank.

Manning Named AFC Offensive Player of the MonthPosted Nov 1, 2012

By Stuart Zaas

After throwing for 951 yards and nine touchdowns with a NFL-best passer rating of 126.7 in October, quarterback Peyton Manning was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- After putting together a historic three-game stretch in October, quarterback Peyton Manning has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October.

Manning led the AFC with 951 passing yards (317 per game), finishing 77-of-104 passing for a league-best 74 percent completion rate during October. His nine touchdown passes tied for the AFC lead and his 126.7 passer rating was tops in the NFL.

During the month, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300 yards with three touchdowns and a 70 percent completion rate in three consecutive games. He also joined Steve Young as the only quarterbacks to throw for 300 yards with three touchdowns in four consecutive games.

The 15th-year quarterback was sacked just twice in 106 pass plays (1.9%) during October and was not sacked at all in two of the three games played during the month. Also, during that span he became just the second player in Broncos history (Jake Plummer, 2003) to post a quarterback rating of at least 115.0 in three consecutive games.

Denver finished 2-1 in the month, including a historic comeback win at San Diego during which Manning tied Dan Marino with his 47th career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime. He was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for an NFL-record 22nd time following his effort against the Chargers.

The AFC Offensive Player of the Month honor is the fifth of Manning?s career, which ranks second among all players since the award?s inception in 1986. He becomes the seventh Broncos player to earn AFC Offensive Player of the Month honors and the first since Jay Cutler in September of 2008.

This was the latest i had heard sorry!

"QB Peyton Manning was listed on the injury report with an injury to his right thumbnail"

hornkiller.jpg

LAST EDITED ON Nov-02-12 AT 05:14PM (MST)[p]NFL teams are required to report even the smallest of injuries to each player. (See what happened to John Harbaugh when he didn't! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...n-harbaugh-sees-no-value-in-nfl-injury-report)

BUT - that doesn't mean that they wont play. Many players play injured all season long. They sit out practice most of the week and only play on Sundays.

He hurt the thumb just before halftime on Sunday, then came out and torched the Saints for another 17 pts. and 150 yards. He hasn't missed a snap all week in practice and is not bothered by it at all. He has to see the trainers for it, so the Broncos are required to report it.

He isn't crying about it and he will play on Sunday. If that is what a cry-baby ##### is then I want a cry-baby ##### for my QB every week!

So following the only 4 time NFL MVP and arguably the GOAT is band wagoning? Its called enjoying watching a master at work.
Only Viking I can stand is Allen. Guy is a beast. I watched a story on him where he killed a bull elk with an african spear from a tree stand. It was high fenced.. but still a spear.

Yep........they're still suckin.....I'm gonna say they finish 12 and 4 and just maybe, 13 and 3. Sounds like a pretty crappy team to me HC.

The rest of the season is winnable for them, the only real threat they still face are the Ravens.
I'm liking the sounds of a 12-4 first year run under the newly designed team. Denvers defense is just sickening tough..... Von Miller is a machine that cannot be stopped!!
I'll be there next week front and center live to watch them make the Bolts cry again!!

avatar-1.png

I don't know about 13-3 or 12-4,but they should be able to end up 11-5 easily enough. That'll be good enough to win the division, and who knows what could happen in the playoffs.I'm dubious about their running game, though. And they fumble way too much. And Carolina sucks, too.

Cupcake division...cupcake schedule. If they handle the Ravens I'll take it back.

Still sucking...7-3

I would like to know how come so many of Peyton passes wobble, have they always done that?

Hopefully Mcgahee isn't hurt real bad, without him we're in trouble.

I don't think we can hang with either the Patsies or Houston.

Well....McGahee is out 6-8 weeks with a torn MCL and broken leg!!!!!!!! That SUCKS!!!! Gonna be tough with no threat of the run, but that Defense is INCREDIBLE!!!! Von Miller is a BEAST. he is well on his way to Defensive Player of the year.

McGahee out is gonna suck... Hopefully Merino and Jerimah Johnson and others will step up. Not too worried though...Still sayin they will win the division and end up 12 and 4

The term they use for that is 'throwing ducks'. Due to Peytons quick release in a game, he doesnt get into full throwing motion which causes the wobble. This has nothing to do with his neck. He has always thrown ducks. If you watch practice film you wont usually see him throwing ducks. It is the main reason he has the fewest sacks in the NFL. He gets rid of the ball quickly. He also releases the ball at a high release in which the ball cannot go into a full spiral.
He threw that way in Indy as well.

I was at the game this weekend and i've come to this conclusion about his wobbles on the football. If he throws a spiral it gets overthrown like the two deep ones he had that were gems. He puts a wobble on it so it lands just perfectly into their hands :).
Its a manifested wobble so it wobbles perfectly into the hands / chest.

>Well they did suck yeasterday.
>But, a win is still
>a win. 8-3.
>
>Carry on.

But dont give that Cheifs defense any credit... ;)

In all seriousness, the Cheifs are not 1-9 due to the defense or RB.. they are 1-9 due to terrible QB play. Quinn actually played ok yesterday. Theres a reason the starting QB was benched..

"Clinched" is an understatement......clinched by what, 5 games??
If you still don't believe in Denver, i just don't know what to tell you. Yes the AFC sucks, but it's not like we "clinched" the division by a game.....we're running with the Pat's at 9-3!!

avatar-1.png

I know, 10-3 isn't that great, and the Raiders really suck. But, what the heck, it's a good time to be a Bronco fan.

Next week means a whole lot.

They have a GREAT shot at getting the #2 seed in the AFC and a bye week. With the big game Monday between Texans and Pats..I think Pats lose, then Broncos win in Baltimore next Sunday...#2 Seed! Pats also still have to play a good 49ers team.

I think if Broncos have #2 seed and bye and home playoff game...they have just a good of a shot as Champs as anyone. Last night they just play to competition. They tend to do that a lot!

Been fun watching!!!! Moreno has been solid the last two weeks. Even if they do not win it all this year, I would say it was a REALLY good thing to bring in Manning! Add a few pieces, they all get more comfortable......and next year could be LIGHTS OUT!

31 - 3 so far.

Two more games to go, Brown's and Cheifs, both home games. I see two more wins and an 11 game winning streak!
Better news than that, Denver is firing on all cylinders and very healthy going into the playoff's :)

Hey HC, whats your perception of them there DONKEY'S now? they will finish 13 and 3 just like i predicted several weeks ago.. Some are predicting them to win the Superbowl...what are your thoughts? :)

Latest predictions are Denver and Greenbay for Superbowl!
Texans and Pat's are both sliding and getting hurt, Donkeys are all healthy and only getting better each week!

I'll eat crow...it tastes like sh!t by the way!:)
I'd take the donkeys in the SB, but please god, don't let it be the packers!
It's difficult to root against Peyton, but even more difficult to see the donkeys winning....crow sucks!:)

Congratulations to the Broncos, they earned it!

Who is going to be the NFL comeback player of the year? Petyon or Adrian Peterson?

Yep, broncos still suck at the top of the pile.
Bring on those stinking cheating patriots into the Denver house, we'll show you whats up!!

HOT OFF THE PRESS-

"The NFL playoffs are here, and that means that we are really starting to limit the teams that have any chance whatsoever of beating the 2012-13 Super Bowl odds. Join us here at Bankroll Sports, as we take another trip down the road of the NFL, as we analyze the most up to date Super Bowl 47 odds.

They?ve gotten every break that they have needed to get along the way, but there is no doubting the fact that the Denver Broncos (Odds to Win 2012 Superbowl: 3.15 to 1 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) are the deserving favorites to win it all this year. They haven't lost a game since the end of the first month of the season, and they are really rolling through everyone at the moment. There is no doubt that QB Peyton Manning has staked a claim to the MVP Award and Comeback Player of the Year honors. He isn't a lock to get either award, but he would be the first to tell you that the Lombardi Trophy is the only trophy that he really has to hoist at the end of the year. Remember that this team beat the Pittsburgh Steelers last year in the first round of the playoffs with QB Tim Tebow calling the shots. Now, with a polar opposite team that throws the ball all over the place, it is clear that the time is now in Denver to win it all, and Head Coach John Fox deserves all of the credit in the world for getting this team going in the right direction regardless of who the quarterback has been and the style of play that he has needed to run offensively. This defense has remained consistently solid, and that's why the Broncos are now the No. 1 seed in the AFC and will host the AFC Championship Game in all likelihood in two weeks."

I just read some of the huggy feely Bronco stuff posted on this thread. And some of you guys like to post crap on my Cowboys thread. Now Peyton is gonna sit on the couch while Ray gets to play. Carry on. mtmuley

That sucked!!! That one hurts, but WTF. At least they had a hell of a year, the best season since Elway. Still stunned by Champ getting beat like a redheaded step-child.

I hate to say it........the Broncos sucked yesterday....there was some crappy calls made during that game that went both ways however, Denver beat themselves. DAMN IT

Yes, the Broncos sucked Saturday!!!!

And so did the Safety's and Manning!!!!

What really sucked was watching 30+ seconds and 2 timeouts get wasted at the end of regulation...whats up with that?

Elway would have thrown a couple passes down field and got the Broncos within field goal range, and the win.But Payton is not Elway.

Denver sure did beat themselves. Oh Well, Crow Sucks, But hey, we can always hope for next year.

You must be talking the 49ers-Packers game!! That QB Caporick(sp) guy got a rocket for a arm and can flat, "run Forest run"!. I don't expect them to win it all but would be nice!

Any of you Mountain Guys pulling for the 9ers now that Denver is out? Chances? You think??

Well, it is a little ironic, but don't worry, they will be back next year, and better. They are a force to be reckoned with not just in the AFC West, but in the NFL. The last time they lost unexpectedly in the playoffs like that, their again QB took them to two straight Superbowl victories!

They were the odds on favorite to win the Superbowl at the time and were favored by 9.5 points over the Ravens. So, yes, according to Vegas, the loss was unexpected.

And I meant to say "aging" - not "again". Grrrrrr...darn typos!

The point is this, the Broncos had an amazing season, winning 11 straight and should have gone farther than they did in the playoffs this year. They are not losing many key players or positions this off-season, will have McGahee back and will look to bolster their roster through the draft and free-agency. The next two years look great for them and they will be considered a contender for the Super Bowl going in to next season. By all accounts, though as of last week they were favored, pre-season prognostications had them second in the division, fighting for a Wild Card, and the "Peyton Project" wasn't supposed to be that effective for at least one or two more years. I am going to remain quietly confident that it can happen, and expect to see the team improve next year.

That means that I will not come out of left field and start a post in July proclaiming "THE BRONCOS WILL WIN THE SUPERBOWL THIS YEAR" even though they have an actual snowball's chance in Dallas of accomplishing that.

... and the Cowboys?? Jason Garrett?? Tony Romo?? and Jerrah Jones??? BWAAAAA HAAAAA HAAA HAAA HAAA HAAA!!!!

Roy, You could have proclaimed that the Broncos would win the Superbowl in July. But now, Romo can make room on the couch for Manning to watch it. I bet next year the Broncos don't equal this years performance. Riding high on emotion usually fades. I'll wait till August for next years proclamation. mtmuley
