I was one of the lucky ones this year to get drawn for a CA desert bighorn tag (marble clipper mountains). Does any one have an info on the unit, know someone who has had this tag, etc.... Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Congrats! You have officially won the lottery... and in a great unit!

Now all your homework begins. Desert sheep will test everything in you, your patience your shooting and your agility. Make sure you are starting the "training" now. Sheep are very very different from every other animal. Learning the game can be very time consuming. I would look into using an outfitter. They know the unit and can help you get the ram you really want. That unit has potential for HUGE rams.

Congratulations! Definitely a great desert sheep unit. I have personally hunted with San Gorgonio Outfitters (760-408-7118) and would highly recommend their services. They eat, breathe, sleep, DESERT BIGHORN SHEEP!
