has anyone had a rifle done? ive got a rifle i would like to have done and have been trying to find someone to get quotes and info from. im in Northern Utah. anyone know of a shop that will do it?

I've had Accurate Plating and Weaponry do some plating and bluing for me. They also do coatings.
They're really, really good but you'll need to send your gun to them.
I don't know anyone locally.

I had a feller do it from Colorado- Weaver rifles. I had a pile of work done on the gun, which all turned out VERY well. the ceracote is the shizz-nit. very durable. Not at all sure about what it costs. I do believe that the original finish needs to be bead-blasted off, or removed some way.

I had a rifle done by Karl Kempfeld. You would have to ship him the gun though. He does really good work. His website is pretty detailed about pricing, or give him a call. Super nice guy.

He is a great guy and I forgot all about his coatings.
He's done several barrel and bolt fluting jobs for me.
He recently moved to Idaho so make sure you have his corrected address if you're using him.
Come to think of it, I've got to send a bolt up to him for fluting.
