Co Archery Elk

I'm looking to get a little info for a OTC archery elk tag. A few questions if anyone can point a NR in the right direction.

I'm looking at unit 231. Can a guy find any elk in this unit? I'm not looking for record book, just a good, hard working, average archery hunt. Is this unit going to be busy and how is the access.
I would love to hear your recommendations.
Just looking for some input to start my homework. Thanks for all your input.

Unit 231 does hold some elk ,but you have to get back away from the other hunters.This unit gets alot of hunting pressure because it has good access.I hunted it last year and there was a camp every 1/4 of a mile or closer. I never even saw an elk,lots of sign but no elk.The hunting pressure push the elk way back in rough country.
if you are hunting this area ,be there first part of season before the muzzleloaders season.

Here is what I tell people that want to come hunt elk in CO. I say pick a wilderness and learn and hunt it. There are good elk in all CO wilderness.
