Point creep is not the word I would use. I would call it point explosion

Rich you can say that again with my 17(now 18) N.R Elk points it looks like it could still be 2-3 more years to draw the Unit 61 Archery tag.

I didn't study the whole recap or summary, but the deer license we sent for actually was a little easier to draw than 2012 with the same quota. There was about 15% fewer NR applications. I don't know if a boycott due to the new gun regs was a factor or if this was returning to normal after high numbers last year. I was concerned about drawing because so many guys failed last year and gained a point in the process. It turned out that it wasn't a problem.

Point creep will continue to be an issue and get worse next year with the landowners getting another 5% of all the tags right off top. Time to push an agenda for those people buying LO tags to lose their points.
