Well, my first day was happening just like it did in my dreams. I had spotted 8 bulls 20 minutes after light, including the nice 6x6 that I got pictures of last weekend. after a 1 mile stalk, the 6x6 was walking into my shooting lane at 31 yds. Just as I got to full draw, a 4x1 came running into the lane and stayed there. I passed up a shot on him (regretting that!) and he had me at full draw for 2 minutes before turning and walking right down my shooting lane with the giant still in the background!! He came to 10 yds and stared me down for a while, never allowing me to take a shot at the big guy. Eventually he jumped the whole herd and they cautiously moved off.
My questions is, do you any of you have experience with a situation like this? The bulls were not completely scared as they hung around at about 100 yds for 10 minutes before feeding briskly away. Do you think there is a chance that they will return to that general area?
