Divided United states

I agree with your sentiment. The problem is I've never seen somebody follow that up with, "Therefore, I'll bite my tongue and support your guy."

The sentence always goes, "We need more compromise and less division, so you should compromise and support my guy."

That is a true sentiment and a great idea. But both “sides” suck a great deal of butt. I’m not sure anyone is really for the American people. Heck when we can’t have a real discussion about how any sovereign nation should have border security, except our own?! Gtfo Not to mention all the other crap that we send money to outside our borders when we have real pressing issues at home. Or the fact that the gov spends and prints money that it doesn’t even remotely have and puts us on the hook for it. Or inflation surging and showing no signs of slowing….

I think we need a fresh start. I know it’s not realistic. But I know for myself at least that I can compromise on a fair bit. I have a few conservative views that I don’t see myself swaying from. But at the end of the day my up bringing and the culture of where I’ve lived has swayed me. Much like liberals are swayed by their environment.

When was the last time a dem bucked the party line to vote with repubs?…..I’ll wait
Gov. Andy Beshear
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema
Sen. Jon Tester
Sen. Joe Manchin

Shall I keep going?

________________

In case you're wondering, Manchin and Sinema vote with Republicans 39% and 33% of the time, respectively.

The Republican Senator to most likely cross party lines is Susan Collins at only 18% of the time.

So, yeah, the Democrats are MUCH more likely to be bipartisan, independent-thinking and buck the party line.

You can stop waiting now.

I feel like these are valid. But I’m not necessarily talking politicians. I could care less what those dip shits are doing. I think it’s more important for people to find common ground.

Andy Beshear? You had to reach down to a terrible gov of Kentucky?

Kristen Sinema is an independent.

Come on man.

Totally and talking about differences is how you get to similarities.

I think at some point there was a culture shift away from this in the sort of “people pleasing” way. people are very concerned their political views will offend somebody so they don’t talk about it if someone has different. Or the weird, super soft shift of being offended makes the person offended right.

So does targeting and prosocuting political oppenents divide or unite the country?

* Cocaine found in the whitehouse.
* Gay friend in Pelosi's house attacks her husband, Paul the hammer ⚒ Pelosi.
* Classified documetns on the garage floor of Biden's Deleware home.
* Chinese spy having sexual relationships with Swalwell ( Eric "yum-yum Swallows Well) And everybody knows it.

And they raid Trump's home

I don't know what you all are talking about. Most of the republicans are uniting with the dems, is that what you mean?

Just remember, Biden is the uniter. Just like everything the dems say.....it's exactly the opposite.

I want heads to roll over the vax, the southern border, Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.. Until I see some accountability, it's all just smoke.

Thick black dirty smoke.

Im definitely on the right. But I do think it’s important to unify under our own rule. Obviously Biden is not a unifier. In fact I would say he’s been the worst president in my adult life. I do however think the right get a fair bit wrong too. At the end of the day the republicans have also aloud us to have this giant **** bag government. I think the tides will change and maybe a viable third party will be born.

Sorry, the answer to the black smoke is for the Republicans to get their act togather, not a third Party. If you think a three party system is the answer, do a deep dive into the socialist movement in Canada for the last 55 years. Total disaster.

I don’t think it’s the answer. I just think enough people have been displaced by their political party. And I think a lot of people want something bedsides what’s shoved in front of us.
