I spotted this buck for a buddy right at sunrise on opening day last year. I love huge typicals and this buck nets >200 inches and is about perfect IMO.

That's odd because every buck I've taken care of the same way. The bucks in winter wheat taste decent. The others like shoe leather. You should share your logic with the cattlemen who are apparently wasting money on grain feed lots before slaughter.

My Great Uncle killed this back in 1939, in an area not known for good genetics. I've never personally seen his equal on the hoof, 34" outside (after 80 years of drying), 28" inside, 28" beams, 16" fronts.
