Dutton/Pansaugunt Antelope

LAST EDITED ON Jun-08-11 AT 08:55PM (MST)[p]It was a fun hunt, but I didn't see near the antelope I expected, which a few locals we talked to said was because a big part of the herd winter killed.

A buddy and I went down three days before the hunt started to scout and I ended up killing the second biggest buck we'd seen. Saw some that were taller, but they didn't have any cutters to speak of and were willow horned. Anyway, here's a picture of my best (and only!) antelope to date, camp, and the skull after I did a homemade European job on it.

Kimber Montana .300WSM, Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x36mm w/M1 elevation turret, Factory Federal Barnes 165gr TSX, one shot, 486 yards.
