A few of you mentioned that you wanted to see the pedestals that I make. It took a while, but here is a pic of the last one I did for a customer. I do chainsaw carvings so I started using my saw to carve detail into the pedestals and making them look more rustic. This one is pretty basic, but you get the idea.

I have a bull at the taxidermist now.... trying to decide on how to have him mounted. These look real nice. Interested to know the price on one of these....
 
I'd kind of be concerned about the small base size. Seems like it might not be too stable? Elk mounts are pretty heavy. I assume they must be perfectly balanced. I got one pedestal and had it done 30" x 30". I'd rather have one like you made. About what diameter is it?
