Favorite Photos From 2009

Well, the 2009 season is done and gone and we're in a "slow" spot in our year-round hunting world that is New Mexico. If I look at any more draw odds and study any more maps I think I'm going to lose it without seeing some good outdoor photos. So, let's help each other maintain our sanity and post your favorite outdoor photos from 2009 for all to see. Here's a couple of my 2009 favorites:
Started off the season with a few good hauls of sheds:

After harvesting an oryx in the spring and a bunch of doves in early fall, my big game season officially opened with my fiancee's opening morning (and first ever) bull elk.

Followed her bull up a couple of days later with some prime elk steak of my own:

Got to watch my buck's shadow follow me home a couple of weeks later:

And wrapped up the season with many a day in the duck blind with the "Z" dog:

All in all a season to remember and be thankful for. Hopefully 2010 will bring some more good more memories to myself and all of you. Until then, let's see your '09 memories.

Lucky Lab you got also. he gets to go shed hunting and duck hunting.

Then the big thing was Khart's 29" Ram.

Fishing in MS. Blackened redfish mmmmmmm.

Then we managed to get a turkey.

I believe they call those goats Catalina's we shot one the day before opening for barbary that had 36" horns! I bet I know where your at!!!

Hunt1, I like goat, but, I like Billy goat less. Been eating them as sausage and stew.

Bloodhound, we got goats in 2 different areas. That one came from unit 30. That one had the colorings of a Boer, others look more spanish.

Here's a few of my favorites. I'll just go in order of the pictures.

Hooking up a friend with his first big game kill ever.

I just think this is a neat picture the way the deer is in focus and everything else is a blur. Deer in velvet pics are always neat anyway.

Elk hunting in Wyoming. Didn't get one this year but the scenery was great.

My New Mexico Mule Deer. (My best ever)

Sharing it with my son! (This is my favorite pic of the year)

And my first bobcat (on my land in Texas).

That's pretty much my year in pictures.

Your son has had a banner year to, that Ibex will be hard to top. I am sure he has accounted for some very large smiles for you and your family. Nothing has brought me more satisfaction in the field then having my boys carrying on the tradition, and from the pictures in this thread I am not alone!

Awesome photos guys and thanks for sharing. Cool thing to see evidenced by these photos is the amount of time many of us are spending in the time with friends, family and younger generations. I hope some more photos get posted because I am enjoying seeing moments from some of your hunts. Can't believe how incredible some of your season have been with regard to harvests. I'll post some more pics from my dad and bro as soon as they can get around to downloading some pics for me...
