Snapped this picture of this little guy. Didn't notice the tumors till I opened it. Wonder what would cause these.

I took a pic of a buck with some lumps on its neck like that a few years back.

Would be interesting to know exactly why.
 
Could be any number of things. May be pockets of fluids. Some types of staff infections can lead to pockets of blood, though the fawn looks otherwise healthy. Could be cysts. If your in the area over the coming months it would be good to see how the little beast fairs.

Harry.....I think that may be the first example of the "Safety modified" California blackmail.

The legislature has mandated this adaptation in an effort to prevent hunters and forest creatures from being stuck by sharp antler points.

Sort of like helmet laws, seat belts, hi capacity magazines, lifejackets, etc,etc,etc. Just more laws protecting us from us.
