Finished the Canning

I made chili and Mrs canned pickled beets and dill pickles. Finished my chili at 1145 pm. We will start freeze drying the other batch of chili tomorrow.

Boy have you been busy. When you rehydrate the food do you keep adding water until you get the right consistency? Or does the dehydrator save the liquid it removes so you can measure it? Or what?

Add boiling water to the mylar bag the same as is done with Mountain House meals. Add a little more if the consistency is a little thick. I will have to learn a few things as I use them. A good weight scale can be use th measure the weight before and after freeze drying as the weight will be nearly the same after rehydration as it was.
