First Time Bear Hunter

Hi MM Friends!

I snagged a turn back tag in Colorado 66 for the Sept rifle bear hunt. I have never hunted bear, but I have the archery elk tag in the same unit this year so I figured "why not". Since I will be chasing elk as priority #1, I figured I would hunt bear passively. In the event I tag out on elk or want to mix it up, what tips would you give me for hunting bears in Sept?

Bumped into several over the years. If you find what they are actively feeding on they get easier to turn up, probably acorns in Sept
