Congrats on Laguna deer tag. There are some nilgai running around down there, my nephew and I drew the either sex hunt at San Angelo State Park. Will be trying to get the makings of some deer burger to help my son feed his four kids!

Totally struck out this year, and we had about 15 apps in there (with decent points too). Always next year!!

Sounding more like a Fester Cluck the more I study the
map and rules they sent.
140 Permits and everybody has to park and enter at the same
spot and one walk/bike access rd......WT? Who came up with that?
I'm visualizing what that looks like an hr. before sunrise.
Like a Black Friday WalMart sale.
Just looking to get some insight.

Yes it’s a lot of walking/ riding , but really no different from general Gun season in the west , scout, let folks push them to you , the northern units are he best to me and thos need a kayak to access

I'm just visualizing 140 pickups in the mandatory parking area and140 on bikes on the one access path.
Like Tour De Laguna / Combat Hunting.
I would gladly take a kayak if it would get me away from
the hordes but it says all must park in designated parking.
I dont see where i could get a kayak in

That is the reason I have not applied for that refuge hunt. Seems like the Feds really don’t want anyone to actually hunt and take animals. The rules were a big negative to me, but Imhave not actually been down there during the hunts.
