We all keep our coveted "honey holes" to ourselves and don't tell any one about them. I have a few, and of course would like to know a few more, but scouting and time in the mountains can give that to me. So I was thinking about finding new areas and I thought to myself that most of my favorite spots were introduced to me by others - mainly friends and family. This year I found two more spots without the assistance of anyone. I mostly hunt a max of about two hours from my house so I don't have a ton of options but listed below are how I found my top ten spots. Basically if you had one last day to fill your tag, where would you go and who introduced you to the area.

1. No one - found myself 2004
2. Friends found together 2004
3. Friend 2000
4. Cousin 2000
5. Brother 1996
6. Neighbor 2002
7. Brother 1996
8. Neighbor 2004
9. Uncle 1988
10.Uncle 1988

Found a honey hole in another state last year. Just have to draw a tag....LOL. Only told my brothers a couple residents, but didn't tell the exact place. If one of them draws then I would be happy to show them the hole. Most of the spots I have found big mule deer, I have found myself.
