Future a barbary sheep hunt unit 34 nm

Has anyone seen sheep in this unit ?, Wanting to take son on hunt next year, heared they move around alot, other units over the counter on public is also a option.

Yes they wonder around there time to time! The entire unit is OTC now !

Good luck getting someone to give you in for on their OTC barb spot. I’d start by calling local game wardens and biologists.

Ok thankyou, just wanted to know if their is a huntable amount of sheep, have talked to one of the wardens some will call him closer to time, will take a scout trip if possible, think i will start looking toward timbereron, looks to be a big unit so trying to figure a starting area, looks like a challenging hunt.

34 is hit very hard, but you may get lucky. Not a hunt I'd have on my list to take a kiddo for a fun experience. Realistically the odds are work very, very hard, and never see a sheep.

He is a 16 yr old kiddo, He has hunted Idaho, Arizona ect with me, We just like hunting, Want to check this area out for future mule deer and elk hunt. seen otc tags for sheep so we could figure a good time when we can hunt together, We are tuning in the 270 win and 300 wby. probably will camp to make it a adventure, it will give us a chance to scout for later hunts.

Definitely not going to see a ton of sheep!
The odds suck for elk too ??

I’d skip hunting 34 for sheep and just apply for one of the draw areas. 34 has been hit so hard they are few and far between. It is one of the best elk units in the state of you can draw a tag.
