how have you transported your trophies while moving?

I'm about to move 1,000 miles or so. I've got 6-7 deer mounts, elk mount, and lots of misc. mounts. How did you pack your mounts for the long ride?

Rent a U-Haul or similar van and attach 4'x8' sheets of plywood to the walls for as many of the mounts as you need. Take other pieces of plywood slightly bigger than your mounts and screw them to the wooden backing of the forms. Then just use 3 or 4 grabbers to screw that plywood directly to the plywood walls. Rigid mounting and indestructable. Done it many times.

Excellent Blank. I had a similar idea in mind but your idea with the wood backing attached to the mount is much better. How did you mount the plywood sheets to the Uhaul? I'm guessing the uhaul have metal sidings? Thanks.

Mounts are not heavy so I would let some air out of the tires if you use a trailer. If not it will be too bouncy for the mounts.
