I went out Sat. morning to check on a large herd of bucks I know about. They're all still there and they look fat and healthy. One of the older white faced bucks was missing both of his antlers. All the others (23 of them) still had both sides attached. I watched them from about a 1/2 mile away for a couple hours. They all fed and bedded down on the far end of the little valley they're staying in. The wind was right, so I eased in and found three small old sheds, then eased back out. The bucks were still bedded in the same place, so I feel pretty good about not bumping them. I'll give them another week then check again.
