Idaho nonresident deer tag for cats

ok so i was wondering i have a nonresident deer tag for idaho. and in the regs it says you can you that also on a bear our cougar. so can you only do this during deer season because i really want to shoot a cat and need to know thanks.

I think you can substitute the deer tag for a lion tag, but you better check with IDFG.

A nonres. tag can be used for a bear or lion as long as the area and the season is open for that animal.

Read page 77 of the regs. Has to be open for the bear or lion, and also has to be open for deer in that area.

Blank is right on. Has to be open for both.. Such a shame because last time I was in Idaho I was scouting and could have taken a huge bear but was one day to early.
