info on the Valle Vidal

would like to know if anybody has any info where to get started hunting on the V.V. Leaving Montana on 10-16 hunt starts on 10-21
I am not taking any horses but don't mind hunting my legs off.

Just back last week hunting with my son on his youth tag. Snow and wind. Saw plenty of small guys, we missed the big one. Elk have been pushed to the edges of unit if not out. Start hiking back in there. We had the full moon.....they ran into the dark timber by first crack of light in the morning.

So did your son punch his tag? Either way the VV is a great place to experience an elk hunt. Did you run into my friend Vance Lewis w/ Bobcat Pass Outfitters up there?
