We had a 5.4 yesterday at 4:18PM and a 5.2 this morning with lots of aftershocks. We're heading up this morning to check out the mess at our place.

Hope your place is ok. From the 4.? Quake in Santa Rosa last September we got a lot of Sheetrock cracks and a lot of neighbors lost their brick chimneys.

My brother in law felt it in Sacramento, I wonder if they are caused by shifting plates or is it volcanic activity?

Hope your place held up one way or the other.

I live about 100 miles from Chester, and I felt it. We have a place up there as well. Hopefully you came out of this ok. The fire missed ya, I'm sure the quake did too, you must be living right;)

I will take earthquakes over tornadoes and hurricanes any day. ??
But that’s just me. Have to have some drawback for this great weather we have.

Our place at Almanor is almost 100 years old and overall probably is OK. What worries me is the river rock fireplace in the cabin. In the last big quake part of it broke and the area around the mantle cracked.
