Late season riffle

LAST EDITED ON Oct-27-14 AT 06:03PM (MST)[p]Hello all, first post here, but have read a lot if good info in the past. Me and my son drew unit 10 (rubies) Nevada late rifle mule deer tag this year. I am not real familiar with the area and was just wondering if anyone one out there can share any info. It's our last hunt together before he goes into the army and would really like to help him harvest a buck. I know access can be tough from the west side so was planning on hunting the east. I have talked to a taxidermist up there who said its been tough, but things will soon change. If anyone could give me any info I would really appreciate it. The recent snow and cold weather will only boost the rut activity. Look for deer to begin to move south and look for most does to be accompanied by bucks.

West side is definitely not off limits. Just have to find the access. BLM maps tell all.

To improve your odds of finding good bucks hike in a deep as you can and glass nonstop - bivy if possible is suggested.
