Finally broke down and got a decent meat grinder so I can process a whole chicken. Wow, it is very well built. 1.75HP.

That thing looks beefy!!!
That’s the size I have and it’s been a champ for 40 years now. Mine looks old school comparatively speaking but the big ones last and last.
We literally grind hundreds of pounds of wild game hamburger every other year.

I have the same grinder. They are very dependable and will serve you well. I keep my auger and feed chute in the freezer, the colder you keep the meat, the better it grinds.

Mr customweld is so very correct!

I take deer and elk chunks (200-400lbs of them every other year) and only partially thaw them so we're able to cut with a knife but still mostly frozen. Grinds like a champ and the meat isn't ever really totally thawed out. Women-folk's hands get cold packaging it all but they know what they're getting so no complaints.
Add 5% beef suet as I grind and we enjoy the he!! out of it for a couple years.
