Modifying Trucks

I stopped into a shop that sprays bedliners etc... After a bit they say I can have a 2" Front Lift (will not void Factory warranty) to even out the Truck AND also have the below for cargo or Towing.

Air Lift Load stabilizers with fob wireless remote.
http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/firestone-vs-air-lift-suspension-air-bag-kits

Ok, I talk to another truck specialty shop and they say never lift the front unless many other things are done.

Then I find the below. It have everything under the sun for performance. In its stock form, the truck runs faster and more responsive than I ever thought a truck could (3.5 Dual Turbo EcoBoost) but, as salesmen do, they have many claims. This site takes time to find and review ALL systems/parts.
http://5startuning.com/got-2015-f150-3-5l-v6-ecoboost/

I am happy with the Truck as is BUT, as many guys, I wonder how much more could happen if such systems were installed. Some are expensive but I don't mind if the results will be highly noticeable and enjoyable. I do not have a desire to impress or race, just obtain the most that technology may offer.

Elkassassin, I take it you understand Diesels so I also have faith you are intelligent in this series of topics also. I also believe there are Campfire men who have a great deal of such knowledge. The 2nd site will take time to explore.

Help me understand please.

Jagerdad :)

PS: Votes for LineX or RinoLiner...?

I'm not one that would ever put a lift on a truck. I think I do a lot off pavement and never once needed a lift kit. If I was 16 years old, I would definitely get one. I try to keep in mind that I use the truck 90% on pavement so I don't see the advantage to have a lift kit installed. That being said, I just purchased a new GMC and had the dealer install a leveling kit. Now it sits up just right and I don't need a running start or have to pull on the wheel to climb in. It was also important that it fit in the garage too. I would never have anyone but the dealer install it because they told me they would honor the warranty even if other GM dealers didn't.

When I hear "Lift Kits" I think of kids. The 2" front lift was to make the truck level. The air bags did not raise the rear, just there for loads.

I may call the Ford Dealer and ask about their Leveling Kit.

I have the 2" level on my '14 F150, definitely looks much better. But, kinda looks silly with the factory tires/wheels. If you level, you need a bigger tire, something around 34" tall (275/65/20 or 295/60/20)

As for tuners, this is the first truck I've ever owned that I haven't put a tuner on, just don't feel like its needed. Plenty of power to do everything I ask of it.

It's Hard to Squeeze Serious HorsePower out of the Gas Engines these days!

Banks has a STINGER Package for You Boys Running the 3.5 Eco-Boost!

About a 70 HorsePower Gain!

If Ford would Build a V-8 Eco-Boost that got Decent Mileage I'd Own one!

Considering the 'Cubes' they are Sweet Running Machines!

I Like the Sound of a Decent Running V-8 though!

You'll Have to Up-Grade Jag!

Next years Model will be Sportin a 10 Speed Tranny!

This is what I don't like about Gas Engines:

He Drove it Easy!

7K Pound Load!

8.5 MPG!

I've seen Diesels not even know a 7K Load was behind them & Double this Mileage!

I modified my F350 four-wheel-drive and now it goes 143 miles an hour while reading Tale of Two Cities at the same time

Normally I'd say elkassassin, you are encouraging me :)

However, at age 5 living on Hamilton AFB, Marin County California (closed and seen on Mythbusters) I grew up around the F-101 Voo-Doo (Father flew P-38's and P-47's in Europe WWII) and I grew up to me in love with speed and X-Y-Z angles of attack and did the below linked driving most would consider insane. I suppose it's all about what "Your" Normal is. I then got into aircraft's. To say it politely, nothing with 4 wheels seems fast. Two wheels = Yes indeed.

I do appreciate the news about the 2017 & 10 speed transmission. Maybe I will get a 2018 and have my daughter use the 2015...? However, I use a truck now for less work and more human comforts. My new 2015 still only has 4000 (Four Thousand) miles. I need to get out doing more things :) But I will leave the cafe bikes alone and stay with the Goldwing. My Son has a new Harley and to me, they are like a Tuna Boat Anchor.

The Only Problem I see with them Bikes is:

If They Lose it they're gonna wipe a bunch of people out!

Reminds me of watching the First NASCAR Races!

Been there a number of times back in 1982-3 checking on station switch yard equipment. Almost like a ghost base then.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-17-16 AT 01:45PM (MST)[p]I vote for the one that has kevlar in it. We have [Correction-RhinoLiner] in our Tacoma and it's great, but I imagine if I did the Chevy commercial tool box drop test, it just might leave a hole like it did in the Ford aluminum bed. Bed liners are exactly why that commercial is BS. Anybody who does serious work and cares about their truck is going to get the bed coated anyway. Removable liners cause too many problems.

'Course there ain't no accountin' for those who go looking for every cow patty they can find when the thing is brand new...

Can't speak to lift kits for trucks, but I would need the guy to explain to me why a "leveler" requires raising the front 2".

As for HP, I'm partial to muscle cars, and one of the sweetest sounds in the world to me is the rumble of an American V-8. But I would have to drive one of those 365 HP twin turbo V-6 cars before souping it up.

And I HAVE read Tale of Two Cities.

A guy asked almost the same question as had I, yet he did so on an F-150 Forum. I do not understand their Acronyms.

I simply wondered if anyone did read most pages on the link. I saw comments but none denoted from the site. I am pleased with stock but in my past, nothing remained in stock form. I sure must be getting old and laid back. Maybe I should install a hammock in the bed...? I even included Diesel data for my MM'er,ree Brethren'zzzz :)

elkassassin, I will hunt down Banks :)
