I took this bull last week in Eastern Montana. I've been waiting 10 years to draw this rifle tag.
We watched him with a group of cows in the morning from about a mile off. Set up in that area in the evening and was fortunate enough to find 3 of the cows bedded in the timber. After about an hour, they started milling around, coming out into a meadow to feed. We saw the bull stand up in the timber, but it took about 30 minutes of watching him through the scope before he came out in the open and presented a good shot.
It was a long night packing him out, but well worth it.
