After a long season I finally filled my whitetail tag this morning. Although I had hunted this area plenty over the last few months I had never seen this guy before.
After a slow start to the morning I saw a small buck appear out of the fog while driving to a different spot then I had planned. Not long after this guy and another small buck became visible. They did not seem alarmed but decided to head away from me. After crawling for about 200 yards along a fence, I was able to get my shot.
By far my biggest to date...a very rough scoring job puts him at 165" gross (+4" non-typical on top of that), 154" net.
