I've been going to post this for all to see for a while.
For 15 years I owned a log home company. Here's some work from my spare time. I just prefer the clean lines of milled logs.

Thanks.
I'm going to look for some juniper posts some day that I could use to build my kids some beds. I always wanted to try to mill a juniper and see what happened. If it works well, maybe I'll build me a new one too.

Kim if you get some juniper logs, I think you will love the way they turn out for a log bed. I purchased some juniper knife handle scales from a guy. They had light brown coloration with gold streaks and made beautiful handle scales.
I did three knifes with the juniper and at a sportsman's expo show, they were the first three knives that were sold.

I got juniper logs coming out of my ears (dried/cured), but, I am in NM and I would want you to build me a bed. :)

Here is a piece of milled juniper that we used when we refurbished an old BBQ. My son did the wood burning on it.

I love that look of the log beds. I don't think my wife would go for it. :)
