LAST EDITED ON Aug-26-10 AT 12:31PM (MST)[p]I'm sure it's a common question but here it goes.....

Me and a buddy have 5 points each for antelope and 4 points each for deer.
Any ideas what parts of the state to apply for?

We like do it yourself hunts.

We hunted deer near Baggs in 2006. Seen lots of deer with 1 being a 170 class and one being a 180 class. Hunted for 10 days.
Region D

We hunted antelope in 2001 and 2005 about two hours north of
Rawlins. I believe it was are 64

Any help would be great!

Thanks
Steve

As far as Antelope goes unit 64 is a good unit. I think unit 61,62 would be my pic. If you can save enough points 102 for deer. It all depends on what your after. A 160 is a good buck. Region G is a good place to start. Bighorn mountains have some good bucks in it. Ive heard they've been starting to harvest some good buck in the north east corner around Devils Tower but most of that country is private. quest
