The GREENIES Push This BS!

They Just Keep coming up With Ways to Make New Houses Tighter & Tighter!

Windows with Better U Values Which Still SUCK!

Higher R-Values with More Insulation!

Which is Fine up to a certain Point!

Once The House is So Tight it Can't Breathe What Happens?

It Starts Sweating/Condensating!

So Now People Like BIGJOHN & Other HVAC Contractors have To Install Systems To Push Old Air Out & Pull Fresh Air back in to the House!

And It's Gotta Work Both Ways!

Pull Warm Air in during Cooler Temps!

And Pull Cool Air in During Warmer Temps!

That Means You Gotta Cool it & Heat It!

Where's The F'N Energy Savings?

Somebody F'N Show Me!

They decided Americans couldn't pour gas without spilling it so now we have gas cans that you can't get gas out of and you spill it all over the place trying to get gas out. I wish one time a reporter would walk up to the president with a new gas can and ask him to pour it in his car.

That & They Are CHINA BUILT F'N TRASH that Won't Last 6 Months without Rotting & dumping the Contents on Mother Earth!

But Most People Want CHEAP Sshhhitt!

If it wasn't for my friend in Utah it would take 5 minutes to draw a quart of water from the kitchen sink. Twice that long if you wanted hot water.

If they don't breath you create mold.

Took these pics on a 1yr old house, basement with a vapor barrier. Already growing mold, if you look close you can see the condensation.

Owner made the inspector come see it. He's the dumbass that required a barrier.

Of course "I've never seen that before".

The fix, slice gashes in the barrier, he required, that the homeowner had to pay to have done.

Inspectors?. Idiots that dream up this crap are causing huge issues down the road

My sister's house has 16" walls and triple pane windows. Maybe why the kids were sick alot. Living the dream in the North Pole.

Inspectors are like most engineers. They don’t have enough practical field experience to know what will work and what won’t. They don’t care either. As long as someone pays them.
finishing my basement myself. Got all wiring done and plumbing/hvac. Called inspector out to sign off. He doesn’t look at plumbing. Doesn’t look at electrical. But he damn sure looked at fire blocking and two nail plates I missed!

He lets me insulate and comes back to inspect. Doesn’t look at insulation. But he for damn sure looks at fire blocking and two nail plates to make sure I took care of everything his feeble mind could comprehend!

only reason I involved an inspector is in the unfortunate event that my house ever burned to the ground, I could present the cert of inspection by the city to “prove” it wasn’t my neglect. Insurance companies are always looking for an out…

I was working on a big fancy house up in Sun Valley last fall. The woman said if she turned the Range Hood fan on it would suck ash out of the fire place.. I turned that Range Hood on high and a steady stream of ash flowed out of the fire place across the dining room table through the living room all over the kitchen. I’ve never seen a house so tight.

You Can Over Do Many a Things!

Just Like Building a House Too Tight!

Now You Gotta Install a Fresh Air Recirculating System!

Where's the Energy Savings in the End?

The F'N GREENIES Don't Care!

Hey BLooD!

I Knew an Electrician once that would purposely leave a Nail Plate off!

He'd Leave The Nail Plate Laying Close By!

When the Inspector showed up & said 'You've Forgot a Nail Plate" The Electrician With His Hammer in Hand would grab the Nail Plate,Smack it on and then say:You Mean That One?:D

I Use to LMAO Every Time He'd Pull that!

But We Lost Him a few Years ago & I Haven't seen any of the Younger Tradesmen Try Pulling it off!

Here's one for You:

They want all Heating/Water Heaters with Free Standing Pilots Outlaw-ed!

And Most HVAC equipment with Standing Pilots are already Gone!

Now They are HARPING On Water Heaters!

We Live in an area where there is No Over abundance of Power!

Natural Gas & Propane Galore & Flared all the Time!

So I Expect Them To Demand By Code In the Very Near Future that Tank Type Water Heaters Don't Have Standing Pilots but they'll approve newer Style Tank Type Water Heaters With All Kinds of Electronics on them that You'll Have To Plug in to a 120 Volt Outlet to Tun them!

Again!

Where Did We Save What?

And What do You Think The Reliability will be like?

JFP!

So if the power goes out you got no hot water either? JFP!

And one size fits all cuz it’s the simplist socialist’s way to supervise.
And California will be leading the way to a third world country as always.

Bill SB-30

The bill would, except as provided, prohibit state agencies from providing funding or other support for projects for the construction of residential and nonresidential buildings that are connected to the natural gas grid.

Very true. Sometimes for the smartest ones in the room, engineers are dumber than a box of rocks.

It takes math and science to build stuff, but to really screw things up you need an engineer...

I heard they made houses tighter so the fire department would have more time to get there after the plumber got done sweating the pipes. :ROFLMAO:

When you install your windows leave a inch or two around them and stuff that with insulation and then put your trim on. It allows the house to breath and makes the HVAC system work better
