I got one about a month ago also based on the reviews and a similar one my buddy has, so far so good. I have ranged deer out to 470's so far but, have not used it on steep angles yet, so the verdict is still out on that one.
Great buy, love it for both bow hunting and elk hunting. Have ranged animals out to around 650 yard with it. My dad boughts his first, after using it, I bought one for last year's season...
Love Mine! I hunted with two guys last year that both had the newest Leica rangefinders (without angle compensation). We were hunting very steep country and glassing many deer. When I told them how far the deer actually were with my angle compensated Nikon, they kept asking me how far the deer where for the rest of the hunt. It made quite a bit of difference in distance with angle compenstaion verses line of site distance. Mine also ranged out to almost 700 yards.
