Anyone out there ever eaten Nilgai? Cooked with onions, carrots and Idaho red potatoes. Delicious

Everyone always told me how wonderful it was. Compared to elk, I'd have to give it a 7/10. Taste was good, but a little tough. I don't do a lot of roasts, so may be biased - I would rather steak out all of my prime cuts, and burger or jerky everything else.

Agreed it is tough especially the big bull that I shot. That is why I cooked the roast for several hours in the crockpot. I like the burger and polish sausage. The backstrap is tasty but not as tender as elk. Not gamey at all.
