I really wondered how long it would take for this buck to show up here. I dont know of many people that even got this picture so it will be interesting on how it got out.
I know this is a GIANT of a mule deer and BTO (Todd) did it again!! They killed some HUGE animals this year!
I was wondering the same thing about how soon this photo would show up. I know more details but will wait for it to be released by the hunter or outfitter. All I can say is congrats to both. That buck is unreal!
Some real pigs hit the dirt on the rifle hunt this year in No. Utah. Mostly due to the early snow I'm sure. Now I'm just waiting for a real monster to come off the Wasatch Front, and I'm not referring to Big Foot
Maybe everyone will start putting in for the northern utah deer tags ? I guess the snow helped the boys up north this year.
That is a stud of a buck !!
What a buck! This one gets my vote for best UT buck I've seen hit the dirt this year. I'd love to see some other angles of that beast. I'm sure it'll be in a magazine when I do. THe mass is amazing... I'd love to know the mass + on this one, gotta be up there.
Thanks for all the comments, I know a couple guys had seen this buck a day or so before we killed it and were wishing it was somewhere where they could go after it with their bows. I wish we would have had our bows that day.
There really is not much of a story to tell, we found it and shot it. I believe it will be out in the Jan/Feb issue of muley crazy. There has been a bunch of drama with the buck and lots of assumptions which has left a bad taste in my mouth. Needless to say, it was a great experience to be a part of such a buck of a life time, fifty lifetimes. I was in complete shock, shaking most of the day and on cloud 258.25 for over a week now. We/BTO had a great year for both deer and elk this year overall, a great hear to semi retire on as I'm heading over to DLL. Thanks again for keeping it peaceful.
Happy to entertain emails or PMs if you have questions.
I saw the buck in question the night before and the morning it was shot. I can't see the picture for some reason, was it removed? Truly the biggest mule deer I've ever seen with my own eyes. I tried to use my jedi mind tricks to get it off of that CWMU but to no avail. Congrats Todd.
