NV 72 Archery Bull Elk

Whats going on guys! Drew an archery tag for my bull elk in 72 and Ive never hunted the area, I was hoping to get some insight on some good spots to start looking for a monster bull! Im going to make a few trips up north from Vegas for some scouting and Im already doing some E scouting. Ive heard alot about Jarbidge and Cottonwood. I want to do a DIY hunt. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I drew the same tag. We should connect. I doubt the cell service is worth a hoot in case one tags out early and can help the other. I'll be DIY as well. My tendency is to backpack hunt off the beaten path. I'm not a good hunter but I work pretty hard to find I pressured animals. Are you going to be on the fringe of the wilderness or thinking more about the National Forrest?
