Utah Code ???? 76-10-502, 76-10-504, 76-10-505 and 76-10-523
You may not carry a loaded firearm in
or on a vehicle unless you meet all of the following
conditions:
? You own the vehicle or have permission
from the vehicle?s owner.
? The firearm is a handgun.
? You are 18 years of age or older.
A pistol, revolver, rifle or shotgun is considered
to be loaded when there is an unexpended cartridge,
shell or projectile in the firing position.
Pistols and revolvers are also considered to
be loaded when an unexpended cartridge, shell
or projectile is in a position whereby the manual
operation of any mechanism once would cause
the unexpended cartridge, shell or projectile to
be fired.
